My name is Adalberto (Adi) Golbert and on this blog you will learn about me and my work. I'll also discuss topics of relevance for my clients.
I have more than 28 years working in leading edge multi-national companies. Most of my career I spent in Intel in Israel and in the US.
In Intel I got to be the Director of Strategy for Mobile products. In simpler words I was responsible for setting the products direction which culminated with the launching of the Centrino Mobile Technology. Centrino Mobile technology revolutionized the landscape of Notebooks, creating a new category of performance, small form-factor and wireless communication. Today it seems trivial that every notebook has Wi-Fi communication, but this was not the case prior to Centrino Mobile technology.
On my last assignment in Intel I was the technical assistant to wordwide executive vice-president David Perlmutter, responsible for the Mobile products. After Intel I worked for about 1.5 years in Microsoft, as the business manager of the Firewall and Security products.
I have a computer engineering degree from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) and an MBA from the prestigious Kellog-Recanati business school.
My strength is distilling complex problems into a simple picture. I have a strong capability to understand the "big picture", getting into the problems fundamentals and translating those into concise well articulated plans / strategies. I have strong learning capabilities, I easily get into different areas and research them in depth.
Recently I concluded my Life / Business coaching studies in the Technion Enhanced studies college. I found an amazing world of bringing people to realize their full potential. I have become a fully certified life/business coaching specialist, certified by the Israel Coaching Association.
During my career I had the opportunity to work in Israel, the US and many other places around the globe. I'm multi-language, fluent in English, Hebrew, Portuguese, Spanish and with a good understanding of French.
Those skills should be very helpful to people which want to improve their businesses, be results oriented, profitable and out stand. Last but not least I'm a nice guy and easy to work with.
Who can benefit from my services and what I can do for you

So what is business coaching ?
A Business Coach is just like a sporting coach. A sporting coach pushes an athlete to achieve optimum performance, provides support when they are exhausted and teaches the athlete to execute plays that their competition does not anticipate.
A sporting coach will make you run more laps than you feel like. A sporting coach will tell it like it is. And a sporting coach will listen.
The role of the Business Coach is to coach business owners to improve their business through guidance, support and encouragement. Business coaching helps owners of small and medium sized businesses with their sales, marketing, management, team building and so much more. Just like a sporting coach, your Business Coach will make you focus on the game.
The owners of small to medium sized businesses find it hard enough to keep pace with all the changes and innovations going on in today's modern world, let alone to find the time to devote to sales, marketing, systems, planning and team management, and then to run their businesses as well! As the world of business moves faster and becomes more competitive, having a Business Coach is no longer a luxury; it has become a necessity.

My Involvement in the "Intel Centrino in 2007: A New "Platform" Strategy for Growth"
The below is a case study written by Professor Robert A. Burgelman. I feel proud to have been part of the strategy team which brought this development to the world. This initiative brought the Intel Israel Development center to the leading edge of Microprocessors development in this huge corporation. It also changed dramatically Intel's strategy and Microprocessors focus.
A few quotes:
"Banias is born, the Israel Development Center proposed a chip to achieve Higher performance with lower power"
"Four vectors of mobility: High Performance, Small Form-Factor, Wireless and longer battery life"
"In late july 2001, a face-face meeting was held with the Mobile Platforms Group's staff. Paul Otellini (Intel's President) attended. In preparation for the discussion, two MPG Strategists, Alex Peleg and Adi Golbert, worked into the night defining how best to articulate Banias value proposition for the mobility sector ...... they presented the Mobility Vectors to Otellini who agreed with the strategy .........."

Intel Centrino in 2007: A New "Platform" Strategy for Growth
by Robert A. Burgelman, Philip E. Meza, Evan Barrett
34 pages. Publication date: Jan 04, 2007. Prod. #: SM156-PDF-ENG
Creating Centrino required Intel to make major changes to its strategy and organization. The development of Centrino was part of Intel's "right hand turn" toward increased performance measures, including improvements coming from increased power efficiencies and away from maximizing processor clock speed. This strategic shift, together with the introduction of new multi-core architectures, fundamentally changed the company's definition of success for the future. It was a dramatic move forced on the company, in part, by physics and changing industry and competitive forces; but also made possible, in part, by a radically innovative microprocessor architecture developed by its scrappy, geographically distant microprocessor design center in Israel.
